Good Corporate Design

A good design is not just graphical in nature, but also the planning of processes to achieve certain goals. Large corporations clearly understand this and incorporate every form of design into their strategy to achieve success. For a good corporate design, we need to follow the two main steps:

Design, as in artistic sign (logo, typography, colors)

Design plan (brand)

LOGO

A logo is designed for immediate recognition of company. Just look at the above images, the names of the companies should immediately popup into your mind. But a logo is only one aspect of a company’s brand strategy. It helps to differentiate a company from its opponents.

Typography

Typography is the art and technique of arranging type to make written language readable and beautiful. The arrangement of type involve following six steps:

  • Typefaces
  • Point size
  • Line length
  • Line-spacing
  • Letter-spacing
  • Space within the letter pairs

Typography is possibly one of the more accessible parts of learning design, simply because of how easy it is to change and play around with the text to get immediate results. You have to refine your typography skills so that you can design something that looks well and effective, it should be readable and useful for readers.

COLORS

Choosing the perfect chromatic palette is important in order to effectively communicate the message, in order to strengthen the idea of a unique thing and to create brand awareness. A graphic designer usually should be careful when designing the visual identity of a large corporation. The corporate color scheme that the designer chooses makes a strong statement about the organization and how it does business.

BRAND

Branding is the most important aspect of any business. But what is meaning of “Branding???. Branding means that your brand is your promise to customer. Consistent, planned branding will lead you to a strong brand equity, which means the added value brought to your company’s products or services that allows you to charge more for your brand than what identical.
